How do I reactivate my Employment Insurance (EI) claim and When can I? 

 

Employment Insurance will give you the option to reactivate your Employment Insurance (EI) claim that has expired or dormant. You have up to Six months to reactivate your employment insurance (EI) claim and use your left over weeks. It will take a little less time to get your employment insurance (EI) claim approved and you will lose another two weeks, but it is fast money.

 

To reactivate your employment insurance (EI) claim you will have to fill out another employment insurance (EI) application. If you worked at job that didn't keep, keep it to yourself. The odds of employment insurance (EI) finding out are slim to none. This is a good way to try a Good Job that you may have found and leave yourself area to move if you don't like the job or if it doesn't work out. You can always reacitvate your employment insurance claim.

 

If you have worked more then three months and you do have enough for a new employment insurance (EI) claim, file a new employment insurance claim after you have all of your weeks claimed from your old employment insurance (EI) claim. Don't let them go to waste.
